i look above
and search for God
surprized i am to see
someone's standing next to me

he's looking above
and searching for God
surprized he is to see
i am standing next to him

we smiled at each other
with joy in our hearts
and started a conversation
as if we know each other much

i feel we've met
but no, we haven't
i think i saw him
in my dreams, i guess

to God i whispered,
"is he the one?"
to me he replied
with but a smile

days...
weeks...
months have passed

he's still beside me
looking up above
sharing the stories
of His love for us

im knowing him more
im knowing him deep
he is the kind of person
i would forever keep

i dont know what's ahead
i dont know if God's answer is "yes"
but for now we'll just keep conversing
until i hear i clear word from Him

it hurts to hurt people
and its sad to make people sad
but sometimes, pain is the best option
than do what is not right

it will only hurt for a while
a few drop of tears in your eyes
but tomorrow when you get up
you'll forget what happened this night

if most people needs rest because of too much work...
im a person who needs work because of too much rest
if im being unproductive at the moment... it doesnt mean that i dont have anything to do. the truth is... i have to finish a hundred things, but my thoughts are jumbled. my head jumps from one idea to the other that i dont know where to begin.
imagine, im confused with what to think about, how to think and where to start thinking.. isnt it crazy?
whenever im trapped in a mind battle situation of this sort.. there's only one effective solution that i know... coffee!!!

having the urge and immediate need to organize my thoughts means craving for a coffee based rhumba frap while being seated on a comfortable couch

being the impulsive independent girl as i am, at around 7-8pm.. i just took a bath and dressed up without knowing where my feet would lead me.

and so... after a train and a bus ride, i found myself walking in the streets of makati. i walked around greenbelt, which i havent done for a couple of months now, and noticed the 60/40 ratio of Filipino's to foreigners. there were even a group of foreigners who were getting my attention, and ofcourse, i pretended not to notice. do i look like a waitress? or a pick-up girl? haha! and i also noticed that the number of skwakings in the area are increasing (or maybe, im also part of the skwaking crowd.. haha) ohh well... this is a free country.. and everyone is free to go around the place (not unless there are restrictions here that im not knowledgable of) hmm...

finally, i settled on a couch that i wanted for 3 hours, with my fave coffee, a couple of sweet text messages, 2 notebooks and tissue papers with lots of my writting, schedules that i hope i could follow, plans that somehow organized myself, migrane that almost crushed my head, and a foreigner from the next table who asks me if im doing an assignment! hehe.

people have come and gone the four corners of starbucks, and here i am still, enjoying my literary works and having self analysis (as if im doing project management and system analysis on myself! haha)

and so.. i'll leave this place with joy and peace.. for tomorrow, i know, will be a start of a new beginning.

its time to plant seeds, its time to focus on the vision, its time to make the crooked straight, its time to drop the excess baggage's, its time to follow the new call.

grace works in split seconds
when i got home at 2am, i brought amber out for a walk. we stayed out for more than 30 minutes. she moved around the street, ran after cats, and smell stuff that she sees with her chain off.
after a couple of minutes, 3 teenage frat guys came and after a while, my cousin also came. we just tlaked about non-sense stuff while amber is running around.
being bored and tired.. i just called amber to go inside the house. upon entering my room.. bang! i heard a gun shot! with my curiousity, i went out of my room and saw my cousin shocked and nervous. he told me that just the time i entered the gate, a guy came.. pointing the gun towards him... while the 3 frat guys ran to their hide-outs. good thing, the guy with the gun did not shoot my cousin. maybe, he realized soon enough that my cousin isnt a frat member.
but what if i was still outside when the commotion happened?
what if the gun was pointed towards me?
or towards amber?
what would happen if amber ran after the 3 frat guys?
or she ran after the guy with the gun?
what if, out of fear, she did not listen to my commands?
what if.. what if..
one thing i know now... im saved by grace in a split second

intervarsity's leadership-discipleship camp

[check out some lcdc pics here]

saturday at 5am, right after work.. i just went home to pack up, then run to jam transit in buendia for the 8am ride to lemery, batangas. it was my 1st time to go out of town on my own. all my 3-hour travel, i was deep asleep =)

i arrived there on the 3rd day of the camp. the original plan was, i'll be staying there only for the weekend.. but since i got no more work (again) i can stay there until post camp.

it was my first time to attend a camp not as a camper.. but a staff/counselor. it was about giving and sharing a part of yourself to the students.. without expecting anything back. though, i believe that God will bless the counselors in return. it was tiring.. yet the joy and peace is there.

i was really blessed with the testimonies of the staff and counselors during the postcamp. its amazing to hear that God is also dealing with the individual lives of the staff and counselors.. and not just the campers.
next year, most probably, i'll just be a visitor... and let the students do all the work. =)

i would like to thank the following people for helping me out on my assignments:
bud (wikoy) - for all the prayers and moral support, and ofcourse, for making the nametag lay-out. and for letting me breath out on your calls.
xai - for helping me paste, cut-out, punch, etc all those 150 manual covers and notepads.. and for reproducing the manuals.. and for lending me some money for the camp kit expenses
riz - for doing the camp manual lay-out.. and for reproducing the manuals.. and for helping me do the posters
other staff/couselors - for patiently twining the untwined paper twine.
john, sam and joevier - for canvasing ID lace is recto..
tamaraw's christian fellowship girls - for cutting some materials for the manual
jest - for cutting some materials for the manual
martin - for doing the flash presentation
hannah - for the moral support and for the phone conversations
lorah - for getting all the info needed for the directory
manong - for entrusting me this work.. and for the ride to photocopy the directory on the last minute
cj - for assisting me in looking for flowers in the market
kuya aldwin - for the ride to buy flowers
jun, jay, erwin, lorah, sherry, cezar, hannah, cherry, and the others - for helping me do the flower bouquets.
jay - for handling my BSW group when im not available
702 DZAS - for making us the radio advertisement and for playing it on air for 2 weeks
national bookstore (cubao, a.mabini, eastwood, ever grand central and sm north) - for all the available supplies
mcdo, lemery - for the strawberry float =)
flower shop in lemery - for your expensive flowers. hehe.

and the others whom i haven't mentioned.. thanks for all the help.

1 year at IVCF
it feels like i've been with intervarsity for a long time.. but the truth is, its only been a year.
i became involved with intervarsity, lcdc of last year.. when i was still a camper. there i personally met manong (who looks masungit and suplado at first).. who was our staff worker... and the one who is responsible for my great involvement with ivcf.

after lcdc, i committed myself to join and be involved in pioneering our iv chapter in school. after that, i joined 1 activity after the other. i visited different campuses, monthly LRT fellowships, gala night, national conference, kawayan camp, leadership-discipleship camp, staff meetings, global urban trek and others.
a lot of things has happened since the day ive become an ivcfer.. and im glad to be one =)

bum again
yes, i got no work again. after working for 2 months in a call center.. i was given the opportunity to quit without paying the bond. my choice was, to stay in the company for atleast a year.. or quit now. i was not enjoying the work.. i even cried on my 1st few days on the floor. its not what i want.. its not were im good at.. i prayed for it.. talked to my family about it.. and thought about it a hundred times... so i decided to end my call center days. ohh well.. i have nothing against call centers.. nor the company that i worked for.. i actually enjoyed the training.. and ofcourse, my friends there. it was fun.. not until i started receiving calls.

im here.. praying again.. for the work where God wants me to be. i know that the best is yet to come =)

i still got much to say.. but i'll just write it some other time.. my niece and my nephew are waiting for me =)
